Lymington - home to some of the best Pubs and Restuarants in the New Forest

My caravan has a fully fitted kitchen, but my guess is, as you are on holiday, you will sometimes want to eat out. You have plenty of choice in and around Lymington, whether you want a snack, a pub lunch or a special meal. If you want to enjoy great views as well as good food try The Mayflower, by the marina which has a large garden with Solent views, or the Ship Inn on the town quay, which has a terrace with river views and has recently been refurbished. The Angel Hotel on the High Street is a 13th century coaching inn and has a bar, restuarant and pretty patio. Whether you just want to pop in for a coffee or share a bottle of wine with a snack or full meal there are many pubs, cafes, and restuarants offering different cuisines, including Indian and Italian food. And the New Forest has many historic pubs in the pretty villages around Lymington. If you really want to splash out try The Mill at Gordleton, just 2 miles out of Lymington. This ivy clad 17th century Mill is situated on Avon water and is famous for fine dining. But my personal favourite is just a 10-15 minute walk from my holiday caravan - The Chequers. This 16th century pub and restuarant is the haunt of many famous yachtsmen, and serves good food and draught beers in the flagstoned bar, the cosy restuarant or the beautiful garden and terraces. Enjoy all this when you stay in my holiday caravan www.cogb.com/lymington
